In September 2019, a contract was signed for the Health Program, which will be implemented as part of the 3rd edition of the Norwegian and EEA Funds in Poland.
Budget for Poland
In total, donor states, namely Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, have allocated over 2.8 billion EUR for the third edition of the Norwegian and EEA Funds. Support was granted to 15 countries of Central and Southern Europe and the Baltic States. Poland with the allocation of 809.3 million EUR, as in previous years, will remain the largest beneficiary of these funds.
Pursuant to the agreement, the Minister of Health will act as the Health Program Operator. The Program's partner is the Norwegian Directorate for Health. Funds for the health area were allocated to 23 529 412 EUR or 20 000 000 EUR from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism (NMF) and 3 529 412 EUR in national co-financing. The aim of the Program is to reduce social inequalities in health through the implementation of activities related to telemedicine and e-health policy, a healthy lifestyle of children and youth, and the environmental model of psychiatric care.
Deadline for completion of implementation
Programs under Norwegian and EEA Funds will be implemented until 2024. The exception is the Bilateral Cooperation Fund, which will be implemented until April 30, 2025.
